Thern, Inc. is seeking a dependable, hands-on Crate & Skid Builder to join our manufacturing team in Winona, MN. This role is ideal for someone with carpentry, woodworking, pallet building, construction, warehouse, or manufacturing experience who enjoys working with tools and building quality products in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

• Build and assemble custom crates, skids, pallets, and shipping supports
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood materials based on shipping specifications
• Determine the most effective crating methods for products and equipment
• Build bracing and supports to ensure safe transportation of products
• Operate forklifts to move materials and load shipments
• Label crates and skids with shipping and identification information
• Maintain lumber and crating inventory
• Track lumber according to international shipping standards
• Use hand and power tools including saws, tape measures, hammers, and nail guns
• Follow safety, quality, and work instruction procedures

• Strong hands-on work ethic
• Comfortable using hand and power tools
• Ability to read measurements and follow work instructions
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Dependable attendance and reliability
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods

Preferred Experience

• Carpentry
• Woodworking
• Construction
• Pallet or crate building
• Manufacturing or warehouse experience
• Forklift operation experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Manufacturing experience is a plus
