Position Overview:
American Nitrile is hiring experienced Industrial Maintenance Technicians to support operations at our advanced nitrile glove manufacturing facility. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical skills, quick problem-solving, and a passion for precision in a fast-paced environment. You will be instrumental in keeping our high-speed production lines running smoothly and safely.

Shift Schedule:

• Rotating 12-hour shifts:
• Week 1: Sun, Mon, Thurs, Fri
• Week 2: Tues, Wed, Sat

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on production equipment
• Monitor and maintain high-speed production systems for efficiency and uptime
• Troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, and 480V systems
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
• Perform in-process inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards
• Support continuous improvement and proactive maintenance initiatives
• Operate forklifts and cranes as needed
• Communicate effectively with team leads and departments

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills in a manufacturing setting
• Experience with tools, machinery, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor safely
• Dependable attendance and punctuality

 

Desired Technical Skills & Equipment Experience:

• Pneumatic Circuits: Identify and service control valves and diaphragm pumps
• Centrifugal Pumps: Troubleshoot, service, and replace mechanical seals
• Burners: Experience with industrial steam/water boilers or furnace/oven burners
• Pulleys and V-Belts: Installation and alignment
• Sprockets and Roller Chains: Installation and alignment
• Manual & Electrical Tools: Drill, impact driver, thread taps, saws, multimeter (voltage, current, continuity)
• Three-Phase Motor Systems:
  • Frequency drives (VFDs) – install, connect, set parameters
  • Soft starters – install, connect, set parameters
  • Full-tension starters – install, connect
  • Induction motors – install, connect, replace bearings
• Step Motors & Servomotors: Install and connect
• Welding (MIG or Stick/Arc): Fabricate small brackets as needed
• Electrical Heater Elements
• Temperature Monitoring: Thermocouples, RTDs, controllers
• Relay Logic: Troubleshoot industrial electrical circuits
• Sensors: Inductive, capacitive, analog (level, pressure, temperature)
• Conveyors: Knowledge of gearmotors, belts, rollers, sprockets, chains, pulleys, and V-belts

• 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
• Predictive Maintenance
• SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Dies)
• TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
