Location: Bergen and Essex Counties, NJ (Candidate must live within 60 minutes of zip code 07039)

Job Title: Site Engineer / Foreman

Employment Type: Full-time | Hands-on Construction Leadership Role

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $75,000 per year
  • Vehicle Allowance: $5,000 per year (Pickup trucks only)
  • Discretionary bonuses: Performance-based, including job and year-end bonuses

Key Responsibilities:

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. Expect to work 10–12 hours per day, 5–6 days per week, especially during the first 6 months of training. A performance-based salary increase (5–10%) may be applied after the training period.

  • Manage field crews and ensure project timelines and budgets are met
  • Conduct daily job site visits, inspections, and performance evaluations
  • Oversee material take-offs, ordering, delivery, and usage
  • Build and update weekly schedulesSet elevations, layouts, and manage site logistics
  • Coordinate subcontractors and in-house crews across multiple job sites
  • Conduct quality control punch lists at every construction phasePerform minor work when necessary (e.g., installing sump pumps, door locks, minor trim, or electrical work)
  • Protect against and repair any job-related water intrusion or flooding
  • Communicate with clients and provide weekly project updates
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, schedules, and budgets
  • Conduct and document site visits with daily photos
  • Manage receipts, returns, and job costs

 

Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of experience reading architectural plans and building new homes (not rehab)
  • 5–7 years of experience managing up to 10 projects simultaneously
  • 5–7 years of experience managing subcontractors
  • Strong leadership, project management, and hands-on problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs, and perform minor physical labor when needed
  • Willingness to work Saturdays and extended hours as required
  • Must live within 60 minutes of zip code 07039 or be willing to relocate at your own expense
