Plant Controller

Location: Franklin, MA

Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000Company

Job Summary:
We seek a detail-oriented Plant Controller to manage financial reporting at our Franklin, MA plant. Use your analytical skills to enhance processes, support financial planning, and ensure timely financial statements. Collaborate with various departments to improve profitability. Lead the local finance team in ledger management, reporting, audit preparation, and task automation projects. Work with the global team on budgeting and forecasting.

Job Duties as a Plant Controller:

• Prepare budget and forecasts for the USA site; monitor actual versus budgeted results and address concerns with the area responsible.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements, reports, and schedules according to NMS Group’s closing schedule.
• Manage all accounting operations and supervise the accurate processing of payroll.
• Analyze revenues and direct, indirect costs, and SGA expenses and report on variances.
• Collaborate with the CFO to ensure a clean and timely year-end financial audit and assist with tax audits.
• Work with the Company’s tax advisor to manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Coordinate, resolve, and improve various issues with banks.
• Monitor the credit control process.
• Provide a critical view on the level of expenses incurred by the Company and advise on expense captions that are outliers and require attention.
• Work with operations and the continuous improvement team to assess the financial impact of operational improvements.
• Supervise a team of 2 employees and ensure that work is properly completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Oversee the payroll data input. Uses automated payroll system to produce accurate and timely payroll, prepares reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management and external audits (e.g., annual workers' compensation audit).

Position Requirements:

• Must have an accounting degree and at least 7 to 10 years of experience
• Knowledge of Statutory Accounting principles
• ERP experience on MS D365
• Strong analytical and accounting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills focused on internal customer service
