Job Description:

FMS Solutions, a well-established accounting and tax firm, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a team environment, enjoys working with clients and vendors, and is looking to grow their skills..

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of accounts on a weekly basis.
• Post sales, accounts payable, and payroll transactions to the correct GL accounts.
• Perform weekly check runs and keep financial records up to date.
• Assist with month-end close processes, including:
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Inventory adjustments
  • Accruals and other closing entries
• Work in a team-oriented environment and support senior staff as needed.

Skills & Requirements:

• Fast learner who is comfortable with software and technology.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate professionally with clients and vendors.
• Works well both independently and in a collaborative team setting.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel is required. Certification in QucikBooks or Qucikbooks Pro-advisor is preferred.
• Solid knowledge of debits and credits and general accounting principles.
• Restaurant accounting experience is a plus.
• A desire to learn new skills and grow professionally.
