Staff Accountant – Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, preferably in the construction industry, and will manage accounts receivable, month-end close processes, and financial/job cost reporting.

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

• Process weekly payroll and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.
• Manage new employee onboarding, payroll setup, and third-party Professional Employer Organization coordination.
• Complete month-end close, including bank and general ledger reconciliations and adjusting journal entries.
• Oversee accounts receivable, including client invoicing, payment applications, and collections.
• Prepare and maintain financial statements, job cost reports, and budget monitoring.
• Assist with year-end close and financial statement reviews.
• Utilize Sage Intacct and Procore for job cost accounting and customer setup.

Staff Accountant Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction accounting.
• Proficiency in Sage Intacct and Procore is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
