Staff Accountant - Corporate Team

Industry Leader in Benefit Solutions, Boon, is seeking an Accountant! Boon is an AssuredPartners subsidiary.

Job Location: In Office - Boon is located at 6300 Bridgepoint Parkway Building 3, Suite 500 Austin, TX 78730. 

Accountant Role:
The Accountant will be responsible for general ledger accountability, financial analysis, financial reporting, and special reports, financial profitability analysis, other special projects as assigned. This position would service our corporate Boon internal accounting needs (not client accounts). These assignments will be moderately complex. The position works closely with other accounting personnel, internal departments, and external parties. The Accountant works with limited supervision.

Accountant Required Education & Experience: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or with an Accounting emphasis, required
• 1+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
• 1+ years of previous financial statement experience (general ledger, balance sheet, income statements, etc.)
• Experience in MS Excel (Intermediate level - must know pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other common accounting formulas and functions)
• Experience with accounting software required (Sage 100 ERP preferred)
