Staff Accountant-Accounts Receivable Specialist

 

Location: The ideal candidate is local to our U.S. Headquarters in Broomfield, Colorado 

Job Level: Mid to Senior-level Accountant

 

Staff Accountant Role Summary: 

The Accountant's primary purpose is to take ownership over and facilitate the quote-to-cash process for IKE customers. This means that you will work with SalesForce, FMIS system (currently EXO), Sales tax, and revenue recognition to ensure IKE invoices, collects cash accurately and in a timely. In addition to this, the Accountant will take a hands-on role in updating and reconciling the US general ledger. Overall, this role will touch multiple facets but will have a strong emphasis on accounts receivable for all U.S. ikeGPS clientele.

 

Staff Accountant Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a similar role Accountant role with Accounts Receivable experience
  • A business degree with an emphasis on accounting is a must
  • Qualified CPA preferred or someone that is working towards being qualified (not required)
  • Extra Points for experience with FMIS or ERP system implementation

 

Staff Accountant Responsibilities:

Invoicing and Work Order Management (Accounts Receivables)

  • Work with the sale and production team to produce ike invoices once the goods/services have been delivered/supplied
  • Ensure a strong control environment for sales order processing and invoicing, ensuring invoicing is timely complete, and accurate
  • Transaction types: IKE4 unit | Saas | Daas | IKE Analyze | Self-perform | IKE AI transactions
  • Working with operations to ensure we accurately capture data against agreed revenue-generating KPI’s 
  • Produce project to date Billing invoice to the customer, signed off by sales
  • Work with operations to ensure that all the direct costs attributed to revenue generation are captured in a project's costs of sale.
  • Ensure revenue and costs are correctly posted to the general ledger
  • Consumption of IKE A and self-perform transactions by customer
  • Asset IKE unit tracking and management through SalesForce
  • Assist with Credit approval

Subscription Revenue Renewal Process

  • Ensuring that we have an accurate subscriptions database (SaaS, DaaS & Poleforeman M&S) that allows us to manage customer subscription renewals, ensure all data accurately captured
  • Following up to ensure customers are alerted and managed to re-subscribe at established MSRP.
  • Work with operations and sales to manage our customers that do not renew their subscription. This will typically entail turning off the customer’s account.

General Accounting

  • Working with the finance team to assist with the year-end audit process
  • Prepare reconciliations of general ledger accounts such as prepayments, Fixed Assets, Credit cards & Bank 
  • reconciliations ensuring all reconciling items are cleared
  • Ensure asset registers are maintained and reconciled to the general ledger monthly
  • Independently investigate and resolve ledger coding issues
  • Provide back-up to other functions within Finance
  • Maintain the chart of accounts 
  • Ownership of accounts receivable mailbox ensuring prompt response to queries

Management Reporting

  • Subscription reporting including renewal rates and churn
  • IKE Analyse reporting including gross margin analysis
  • Debtor reporting including DSO

Commission Reporting

  • Assist the monthly/quarterly/Annual commission reporting.
  • Ensure relevant salesperson information is up to date and accurate
  • All sales are allocated to the correct account managers
