Role Summary (Not your Average Developer Position):
We are looking for a developer who can share the care for connected-ness and energy to support this human condition. It’s a position we’re taking seriously — a hands-on software engineering role to help us deliver and grow the promise of the IKE platform.
Another job post might use terms like “full stack” this and “agile” that to describe the job. You will be all of that, but the important and meaningful part of the job is simpler. You will lead the team developing the next generation of the PoleForeman structural analysis software.
PoleForeman, an ikeGPS product, is a Windows desktop application used by electric utilities, telecommunication companies, and engineering service providers to assess the structural integrity of utility poles. The PoleForeman product helps keep the electric and communication infrastructure operating without interruption.

Required Qualifications:
Self-motivated and highly skilled in .NET Core and Microsoft C# development for Web and Desktop
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in full-stack Microsoft development technologies (C#, MSIX, and Microsoft Azure, in particular, CI/CD)
Keen to work on an Agile/Scrum team environment (must know agile methodology)
Able to deliver high-quality systems that are testable, maintainable, and fit for purpose
A Master of Modern Microsoft technologies: client and server-side
Interested in cool technology
Able to lead and manage team members, great communicator
Proactive and self-managing - able to take on exciting challenges and create awesome solutions with minimal supervision
Must know how to work with security (encrypted data)

Responsibilities:
Full end to end responsibility, accountability for the team - Technical, HR, project management, and taking an active interest in their personal development
Manage all work for the team, ensuring that they are appropriately tasked to provide optimum value to IKE, set and report on deliverables, timelines, budgets
Authority to manage the budget for the project
Accountable for delivery of Epics/Stories for the team as agreed with the Product Owner
Manage the required resources to deliver on agreed engineering developments and other approved engineering tasks
Expected to spend 80% of their time focused on hands-on development work for the project
Incorporate Continuous Improvement into processes and products to ensure that we are working as effectively and efficiently as possible and producing solutions that delight our customers
Provide guidance and mentorship to other developers to help them grow and ensure that software developed for the IKE product range is consistent and maintainable
Keep Cybersecurity front of mind at all times, critical to IKE’s success is ensuring that IKE’s architecture and customers critical data is protected from cybersecurity breaches
