Fast-Growing Company is Seeking a Remote Patient Support Registered Nurse with a Rotating 8-hour Shift Schedule (RPSN)

Serva Health is seeking Remote Registered Nurses to Provide Patient Support over the phone and via video chat.  We are currently forming a team of highly capable registered nurses to support the growth of our 24/7 telephonic patient support services offering. 


Remote Patient Support Registered Nurse, Rotating 8 Schedule:

  • This opportunity is a work-at-home/Telephonic//virtual position.
  • You will work at home as part of a groundbreaking team of registered nurses that provides 24/7 coverage on a rotating 8-hour shift schedule.  
  • Each nurse on the team will work autonomously with patients during their shift and timeliness and responsiveness are vital to the goal of providing stellar and compliant customer service during all hours of the day.
  • These patients are looking for answers to their questions or they will require medical or eligibility screening.
  • Patients calling in may need assistance that results in access to and/or compliance/adherence with the prescribed treatment for their disease.

 

Requirements for Remote Patient Support Registered Nurse, Rotating 8 Schedule:

  • Education:  Bachelor’s Degree (minimum educational requirement)
  • Experience:  Nursing: 3 years
  • License:  Registered Nurse (RN) (Required)
    • Active and clear registered nurse license (RN - any state) (or equivalent)
    • US-based credentials preferred – either medical license or education
    • For foreign credentials, must have certified translation of diploma or license
  • Language:  Fluent in written and spoken English
    • English/Spanish bilingual is a plus

 

Scheduling:

  • Must be consistent and reliable with ability to work on a rotating 8-hour shift schedule 5 days a week (not concurrent). You will be part of a team and you will work with teammates to cover for you if you cannot work. You will be measured and rewarded on your reliability, consistency, and ability to answer or return calls within the specified timeframe of 10 minutes.
  • Must be able to work all the below shifts (rotates weekly):
    • Day Shift - 7 Days On and 2 Days Off (7 am to 3 pm Eastern) 
    • Swing Shift - 7 Days On and 2 Days Off (3 pm to 11 pm Eastern)
    • Night Shift - 7 Days On and 3 Days Off (11 pm to 7 am Eastern)

 

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be consistent and reliable with ability to work on a rotating 8-hour schedule. You will be part of a team and you will work with teammates to cover for you if you cannot work. You will be measured and rewarded on your reliability, consistency and ability to answer or return calls within the specified timeframe of 10 minutes.
  • Previous non-clinical and/or telephonic patient support experience is strongly preferred
  • Must complete a set of competency quizzes in the areas of nursing, computers and customer service
  • Possess intermediate to advanced computer skills
  • Have a computer with Broadband Internet Access (*high speed internet access is NOT provided or reimbursed by the company)
  • Have traditional landline phone service (or willing to get) (corded phone and HSIA) (*No VOIP, Satellite, or Magic Jack)
  • Comfortable understanding and pronouncing complex medical terms
  • Have a quiet, professional in-home workplace
  • Have exceptionally reliable electrical and internet services
  • Possess intermediate to advanced typing skills
  • Have ability to work autonomously within the compliance parameters
  • Have ability to work within a virtual team environment where client and patient service are paramount
  • Have a clear speaking voice as well as the ability to clearly enunciate sentences
  • Provide a minimum of two professional references

 

Remote Patient Support Registered Nurse, Rotating 8-hour Schedule Duties Include:

  • Answer inbound calls from patients, caregivers and/or potential volunteers
  • Make outbound callbacks to patients, caregivers and/or potential volunteers
  • Follow the procedure per training to assist patient with their educational, access or adherence-related question
  • Identify and process escalations according to standard procedures
  • Identify and process Adverse Events according to standard procedures
  • Complete client and company-required training
  • Navigate and accurately enter data into the computer software
