Paranet, a growing 26-year-old IT Managed Services company, is seeking a motivated JR Systems Engineer (JSM) to join our team. The JSM is responsible for proactively monitor and report service performance, imaging machines and communicating with clients through our ticketing system. The JSM must excel in both written and verbal communication. A strong desire to learn and the ability to adapt to challenges are crucial traits the JSM must have. Junior Systems Engineer (JSM)
Paranet is seeking a talented Junior Support Engineer (JSM) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical assistance to client end users
Image workstations and delivery to the client
Regular onsite travel to local clients
Proactively monitor and report on client environments
Work with Senior Engineers, Service Delivery Managers, and Project Managers to troubleshoot client issues as they arise
Coordinate with the engineering team and project managers to ensure projects are carried out in a timely manner
Timely and accurate time log completion (with detailed notes)
Dependable and regular attendance in the call queue
Proactive daily schedule communication with Service Desk Manager
Ensure proper execution and delivery of software patching, backups, alerts, antivirus, updates, hardware monitoring, management of ConnectWise products, TPAM, Kaseya, and SSL certs and software
Follow Paranet standard policies and procedures
Assist with special projects as needed
Other duties as needed or required
Required Qualifications:
Clean driving record
Reliable transportation with the ability to delivery computer hardware
Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
Dexterity to connect computer equipment
Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
Excellent customer service
Multi-tasking and problem-solving capabilities
Basic working knowledge of:
Windows Server
Active Directory
Exchange
TCP/IP
DNS
DHCP
Knowledge of IT hardware and software
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years of experience supporting small/medium sized businesses
3 years of experience supporting Microsoft Windows 7, 10, or Mac OS
Experience with ConnectWise
Microsoft Certifications
Citrix Certifications
Experience with backup and disaster recovery technologies
Working knowledge of:
Citrix XenApp
Windows Server
Networking
