Licensed Driller

Work Hours: 8-hour minimum workday with opportunity for overtime/OT pay and double pay on Weekends (infrequent) as project needs arise. Travel roughly 30%.

Location:  Easton, PA

Compensation:  Starting at $26-30/hr with a valid CDL (or must have a clean driving record and ability to obtain CDL within one year of date of hire) and minimum NJ ERG Drilling license (or two years of experience and ability to sit for the ERG License Exams), increasing with experience and other state licensures. Overtime/OT pay available.

Job Summary:
Join Summit Drilling as a Licensed Driller, where you'll play a vital role in supporting daily operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and client satisfaction. Reporting to the Office Manager/Project Manager, you'll perform site drilling operations including DPT soil borings, Geotechnical soil borings, well installations utilizing HSA and Air Rotary, and groundwater remediation injection projects while contributing to a dynamic and supportive work environment.

Driller Role Responsibilities:

  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety programs and policies.

    • Participate in daily safety briefings and drills.

    • Properly use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Equipment Preparation and Maintenance:

    • Conduct daily checks and routine maintenance of drilling equipment.

    • Report equipment malfunctions or repair needs.

    • Manage tool inventory and assist in equipment setup.

  • Operational Support:

    • Manage site setup, material handling, and waste management.

    • Conduct drilling operations with a variety of drilling equipment and methods.

    • Maintain site cleanliness and orderliness.

  • Client Satisfaction and Communication:

    • Interact professionally with clients.

    • Update clients on project progress.

    • Address client questions and concerns promptly.

  • Data Collection and Reporting:

    • Assist in accurate data collection and reporting.

    • Maintain logs and reports of drilling activities.

  • Team Collaboration and Development:

    • Work cooperatively with the drilling team.

    • Seek feedback and participate in training.

  • Quality Control and Environmental Protection:

    • Monitor drilling operations for quality adherence.

    • Follow environmental protection policies.

  • Emergency Response:

    • Understand and follow emergency protocols.

    • Act quickly and effectively in emergencies.

  • Professional Development:

    • Participate in learning and development programs.

    • Seek additional relevant certifications and licenses.

Driller Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of drilling experience in New Jersey and surrounding states.

  • Minimum New Jersey ERG Drilling License (or two years of experience and ability to sit for the ERG License Exams).

  • CDL Class A or B driver license preferred or must have a clean driving record and ability to obtain CDL with in one year of date of hire.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Safety-first mindset with commitment to quality.

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

  • Ability to pass a background and drug test (THC included)

  • Excellent physical condition.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
