We are currently seeking a Licensed General Contractor – Construction Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects across Phoenix, Arizona and surrounding areas on behalf of one of our clients.

 

Position Overview:

This subcontract role is responsible for managing commercial construction projects from planning through completion.  The ideal candidate is a licensed Arizona General Contractor (GC) with multi-trade experience, capable of managing all aspects of construction, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a project-based opportunity ideal for contractors seeking steady commercial work with a strong pipeline.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight

• Lead and manage commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
• Coordinate and oversee multiple trades, subcontractors, and vendors
• Ensure compliance with Arizona building codes, permits, and client specifications
• Maintain job site safety, quality control, and operational efficiency

Budget & Scheduling

• Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines
• Monitor labor, materials, and overall project costs
• Review and approve subcontractor invoices
• Track progress and ensure milestones are met

Client & Team Communication

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders
• Conduct site meetings and provide progress updates
• Collaborate with ownership and internal teams to ensure successful delivery

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Must hold a valid Arizona General Contractor (GC) License
• Must have experience across multiple trades (multi-trade GC required-familiar with Electrical, Lighting, Plumbing, Flooring, Framing, and Drywall)
• 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects
• Strong understanding of Phoenix-area permitting, inspections, and building codes
• Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and project timelines
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to job sites throughout the Phoenix metro area
• Proficiency with tools such as Smartsheet, Excel, Bluebeam, or similar

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with commercial tenant improvements (TI) and renovations
• Established network of local Arizona subcontractors and vendors
• Strong background in project tracking, reporting, and cost control
