We are seeking a Superintendent to oversee all aspects of on-site construction operations, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and effective coordination among all stakeholders. This role is ideal for a motivated and experienced individual with deep knowledge of construction practices and a passion for team leadership.

Superintendent Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and enforce the business unit safety program and develop project-specific safety plans.

  • Conduct daily and weekly safety reviews to ensure compliance.

  • Ensure quality standards are met through daily inspections of workmanship.

  • Apply a strong understanding of general construction practices across job duties.

  • Possess expertise in 10 or more specific scopes or trade types.

  • Participate in preconstruction efforts including scope review and constructability analysis.

  • Create, conduct, and manage QA/QC plans for assigned scopes of work.

  • Conduct daily jobsite inspections to verify work quality and compliance with plans and specs.

  • Manage subcontractor performance to meet schedule and quality standards.

  • Identify and resolve issues that may impact project schedules.

  • Utilize Microsoft Project to create and manage master and short-term schedules.

  • Schedule and coordinate inspections with relevant authorities.

  • Conduct pre-final walkthroughs to ensure project readiness for owner and architect inspections.

  • Conduct business professionally and ethically to support company reputation and profitability.

  • Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, clients, and the design team.

  • Enforce company policies and uniform construction methods to uphold quality.

  • Assist the Assistant Superintendent with subcontractor coordination and schedule updates.

  • Mentor junior staff for professional development and growth.

  • Oversee timely execution of equipment orders and call-offs.

  • Support Project Engineer with monthly procurement schedule updates.

  • Track and manage equipment orders and deliveries per the project schedule.

  • Review subcontractor and vendor agreements, including POs and draft contracts.

  • Understand and review approved submittals, specs deviations, and quantity requirements.

  • Stay updated on RFIs and contract changes; review subcontractor as-builts weekly.

  • Participate in cost tracking, change identification, and cost-saving opportunities.

  • Manage site logistics, staging, and laydown areas; update logistics plans weekly.

  • Complete daily reports and take a minimum of 15 project photos per day.

  • Oversee project commissioning and training documentation (O&M manuals).

  • Attend departmental meetings and daily/weekly “huddles”.

  • Comply with Procore requirements; hold certifications for Procore Superintendent/Subcontractor use.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in specialized job requirements such as LEED reporting and prime contract documentation.

  • Ensure thorough understanding of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) processes.

  • Plan construction phasing to minimize schedule delays.

  • Lead procurement and milestone item execution to meet project timelines.

  • Travel as necessary to fulfill project and role requirements.

 

Superintendent Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in commercial or multifamily construction, with at least 3 years in a Superintendent or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety protocols and OSHA regulations; OSHA 30 certification preferred.

  • Proficiency in project management tools, including Procore, P6 and Microsoft Project.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with proven ability to manage subcontractors and collaborate with design teams and clients.

  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications, and ensure field execution aligns with contract documents.
