Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay Structure: Paid per project (based on completion of 2 jobs/day)
• Equivalent to $40–$80 per hour, depending on experience and licensing
• W-2 Employment
• 7 Paid Holidays Off Annually
• Long-term solar project (estimated 3–7 years of ongoing work)
• Support provided to help qualified electricians obtain licensure

 

Position Overview:

Preferred Co. is seeking experienced High Voltage Solar Electricians and Crew Leads for a large-scale solar project in The Villages near Orlando, Florida. This is a long-term opportunity to install and lead electrical work for solar systems, including Tesla Powerwall and other battery storage solutions.

We’re hiring licensed electricians, but if you're experienced and not yet licensed, we’ll support you in the process of obtaining licensure. You’ll be responsible for high-voltage connections, battery installation, and rooftop coordination, working with solar installers and project supervisors to ensure code compliance and high-quality execution.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform high-voltage solar electrical installations, including AC/DC wiring
• Lead and manage electrical work on residential rooftops and battery systems
• Install Tesla Powerwall and other battery storage units
• Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety standards
• Coordinate with solar install crews and communicate job status to supervisors
• Troubleshoot and resolve system performance issues
• Uphold a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times

 

Qualifications:

• Valid Electrical License in Florida preferred (or ability to obtain with support)
• Experience with high-voltage solar installations and battery storage systems
• Ability to manage and lead electrical crews
• Familiarity with Tesla Powerwall or similar battery units is a plus
• Strong understanding of NEC and local code compliance
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work at height on residential rooftops
• Reliable transportation to job sites in The Villages, FL
