Business Development Representative

 

Location: Plano, TX (HQ Office)

Position Overview:

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will support ConnexPay’s growing Revenue Team by generating leads and qualifying marketing-qualified leads (MQLs). This role is pivotal in building a robust sales pipeline through proactive outreach via email, MS Teams, phone, and social media. The BDR will nurture early-stage leads and set up second-level meetings for the Sales Team. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Generate new business through outbound prospecting and industry-specific consultative selling. 
  • Manage inbound leads, conduct qualification calls, and deliver a strong first impression of ConnexPay. 
  • Partner with Marketing and Revenue teams to build high-potential lead lists and targeted campaigns. 
  • Execute tailored, multi-step outreach across various channels to engage key decision-makers. 
  • Support events, webinars, and marketing campaigns to boost engagement and attendance. 
  • Maintain accurate records of activity and insights in HubSpot CRM for pipeline tracking and reporting. 
  • Meet and exceed performance targets, including meetings booked and qualified pipeline generated. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent experience. 
  • 1+ year experience in a BDR or similar sales role. 
  • Background in B2B SaaS, payments, or fintech preferred. 
  • CRM proficiency (HubSpot preferred); experience with ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator a plus. 
  • Strong Microsoft Office and MS Teams skills. 
  • Comfort with AI-driven tools for workflow automation and prospecting efficiency. 
  • Consistent track record of exceeding KPIs in fast-paced environments. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
