Civil Project Manager

Location: Newark, Ohio

Compensation: $90,000 - $130,000 annually (negotiable based on experience)
*** $5,000 Sign-On Bonus Offered

Summary:
Layton Services is hiring a Civil Project Manager based in Newark, Ohio, to oversee and manage civil construction projects from start to finish. The Project Manager ensures work is executed safely, efficiently, and within budget and schedule constraints while maintaining alignment with design specifications and company standards. This role requires collaboration with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project schedules and keep all stakeholders informed
• Represent the company at virtual and onsite project meetings
• Maintain accurate project documentation and manage change orders
• Oversee material procurement and delivery timelines
• Manage all project phases from pre-construction through close-out
• Handle project financials:
  • Submit AIA G702/G703 applications for payment
  • Prepare and track client-specific change orders
  • Approve invoices and identify value engineering opportunities

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of civil or excavation project management experience
• Proficient in pay application and change order processing
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Able to read and interpret civil engineering blueprints
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
• Preferred:
  • Experience with Sage, Procore, Heavyjob
  • OSHA certification
  • Degree in Construction Management or related field
