Position Summary: 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Spokane, WA team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid accounting foundation who thrives in a client-focused environment and enjoys working with data to support financial accuracy and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly close process for assigned clients, ensuring deadlines are met
• Maintain accurate client work papers in accordance with internal standards
• Support general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Assist with preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Communicate with clients to gather required information and provide updates
• Work cross-functionally with shared service teams (e.g., payroll, reconciliation)
• Use FMS software tools including the FMS Portal and Dashboard
• Participate in onboarding new clients and ongoing support as needed
• Contribute to internal process improvements and documentation
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a client-facing role
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with structured report writers is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
