Skilled Carpenter

Location:  Commerce Township, Michigan

Title:  Skilled Carpenter

Pay:  Starting at $24 an hour

Reports To:  Lead Carpenter

Position Summary:
Basements Plus is seeking a Skilled Carpenter to execute high-quality finish carpentry projects with precision and professionalism. This role focuses on detailed installation work and collaborating with carpentry teams to ensure exceptional craftsmanship in trim, doors, moldings, built-ins, specialty millwork, and hard surface flooring.

Essential Job Functions:

• Install counters, doors, handrails, crown/base moldings, and custom built-ins
• Maintain quality control, site cleanliness, and safety compliance
• Ensure all installations meet or exceed applicable codes, quality standards, and visual expectations
• Assist in planning, material and labor estimating, and scheduling workflows
• Read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications
• Apply strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills to project tasks

Position Requirements:

• 3+ years of progressive carpentry experience with a strong finish carpentry background
• Proficient with all standard carpentry tools and equipment
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Must pass a background check and physical
