RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Training Program Development:
    • Assist with comprehensive sales training programs, including onboarding for new hires and continuous development for existing sales staff.
    • Create training materials, manuals, and presentations that cover key sales techniques, product knowledge, and industry best practices.
  • Sales Training Delivery:
    • Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions for sales representatives, focusing on improving sales skills, product knowledge, and customer interaction techniques.
    • Lead role-playing exercises, sales simulations, and other interactive training activities to enhance learning experiences.
  • Performance Monitoring and Coaching:
    • Observe and evaluate the performance of sales representatives during field visits and ride-alongs.
    • Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and support to help sales representatives achieve their targets and improve their sales techniques.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales metrics to identify areas for improvement and develop targeted training interventions.
  • Product Knowledge and Industry Trends:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, products, and technologies in the home improvement industry.
    • Ensure that sales representatives are knowledgeable about all products and services offered by the company.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and progress.
    • Collaborate with the Sales Trainer, and sales management team to identify training needs and develop customized training solutions.
    • Assist with the recruitment of new Sales Representatives for the Clearwater and Orlando teams

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales training, preferably in the home improvement industry (roofing, siding, windows).
  • Must reside in or near the Clearwater/Tampa Bay, or Orlando area.
  • Proven track record of success in sales and training.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring abilities.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems, training software, and other relevant technology.
  • Ability to travel for field visits and training sessions.
  • Own a vehicle for attending appointments (vehicle allowance and fuel card included).
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
  • Honesty and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Acculynx, Rilla, and other industry-specific software.
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to create and use spreadsheets, quotes, and recording apps.
