Compensation:Hourly pay ranging from $35–$45/hour (Annual income varies based on experience and overtime hours, approximately $74,880 to $160,000)

Job type: Hourly pay, W2 position. Day Shift (Monday–Friday, 10+ hour workdays during peak season)

Asphalt Paving Foreman Job Summary:

Are you an experienced asphalt leader? Join our team at Ferguson Brothers! We are a family-owned general road contracting company serving Central Minnesota. We are hiring an Asphalt Foreman to oversee asphalt projects and manage on-site operations. If you have 2+ years of experience in a foreman role in asphalt, and you’re ready to lead crews, keep projects on track, and work hard during peak season—we’d love to talk.

Asphalt Paving Foreman Responsibilities:

• Supervise and maintain positivity and productivity within the asphalt crew.
• Ensure all operations follow DOT safety and quality guidelines.
• Coordinate and communicate between internal crews and subcontractors.
• Submit daily digital timecards and production reports.
• Manage materials, jobsite maintenance, and outside vendor service calls.
• Read and interpret DOT plans, including slope, grade change, and drainage.
• Monitor jobsite productivity and implement improvements when needed.
• Operate equipment as needed.
• Lead daily toolbox safety meetings.
• Investigate and report accidents and injuries per company policy.
• Comply with all aspects of the company’s safety program.
• Perform other tasks as needed.

Asphalt Paving Foreman Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in asphalt in a foreman or supervisory role
• Strong management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively
• Valid Driver’s License (Class A preferred)
• Acceptable motor vehicle record
• Excellent blueprint reading and interpretation skills
• Knowledge of project scheduling and budgeting
• Physical strength and stamina to handle daily job demands
• Willingness to travel throughout Central Minnesota
• Reliable attendance and availability for overtime as needed
• Ability to work cooperatively with team members
• Drug and alcohol testing required before the first workday
• Medical DOT Health Card required

Asphalt Paving Foreman Preferences:

• CDL A (preferred).
