Compensation: OTE $165K DOE + performance-based incentives

Position Overview:

TPC is seeking a Clinical Director of Revenue Cycle to lead revenue cycle strategy and performance improvement initiatives across our hospital Member network. This role will directly engage with CFOs, CMOs, CNOs, and Directors of HIM, Case Management, and CDI to drive financial and operational success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Clinical Revenue Cycle Optimization (75%)
    • Develop and implement hospital clinical revenue cycle strategies alongside CFOs, HIM Directors, CDI, and Case Management leaders
    • Utilize data analytics & benchmarking to identify performance gaps and revenue cycle improvements
    • Oversee multi-hospital  clinical revenue cycle improvement projects across CDI, HIM, and Care Management
    • Standardize best practices for coding, documentation, utilization review, and compliance
    • Manage vendor and strategic partner relationships to ensure contract alignment and value
       
  • Facilitate Revenue Cycle Governance & Executive Reporting (15%)
    • Conduct monthly & quarterly clinical revenue cycle meetings with executive stakeholders
    • Develop and present board-level financial reports on revenue cycle KPIs
    • Organize workgroups & subcommittees focused on revenue cycle enhancements
       
  • Support TPC Team Operations (10%)
    • Provide internal consulting & operational support for the TPC  Clinical Revenue Cycle team
    • Assist in administrative tasks related to revenue cycle programs

 

Qualifications & Experience:

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or Finance (MBA preferred)
  • Clinical license (BSN, MD, etc.) preferred
  • Certifications in CDI, coding, or revenue cycle management a plus

Industry Expertise:

  • Five or more years in healthcare revenue cycle management within hospitals or consulting firms
  • Minimum 10+ years as a physician, RN, Nurse Auditor, or RN CDI, with a strong background in clinical revenue cycle operations.
  • Experience with multi-hospital system  clinical revenue cycle operations
  • Strong knowledge of DRG payer issues, CDI standards & medical coding guidelines

Technical & Analytical Skills:

  • Proficiency in clincial revenue cycle analytics, financial benchmarking & healthcare data interpretation
  • Knowledgeable with Quality and Patient Safety benchmarks and processes
  • Familiarity with hospital patient accounting systems (EPIC, Cerner, Meditech, GE, Allscripts)
  • Experience with CDI & coding platforms (Iodine, 3M, Optum 360, etc.)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & data visualization skills

Leadership & Communication:

  • Strong executive presence & stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to present complex financial & operational concepts to C-level executives
  • Strategic problem-solving, project management & process optimization skills
