Job Summary:

ShaverGross Consultants PLLC is seeking a driven and experienced Manager to oversee a division of our practice's book of clients, managing the entire process from proposal to follow-up. This role is vital to ensuring client satisfaction, maintaining profitability, and fostering team development. The Manager will play a critical role in promoting our business culture, sourcing talent, and driving firm growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Management: Maintain communication with clients throughout the year to ensure a high level of attention and engagement aligned with our core values.
  • Profitability: Maintain or increase profitability to a minimum level of 90%.
  • Tax Preparation: Deliver technically accurate tax returns, identifying outstanding issues and proposing solutions for final signature.
  • Talent Sourcing: Actively identify and attract "A" Players to join our team.
  • Staff Development: Provide continuous verbal and written feedback to staff on performance.
  • Training: Select relevant training topics for staff and deliver presentations, webinars, or Lunch-N-Learns with supporting materials and examples.
  • Process Improvement: Create or adapt preparation processes to streamline workflow and enhance efficiency.
  • Advisory Services: Identify opportunities for additional revenue by offering advisory services to existing clients or acquiring new business clients.

 

Key Competencies:

  • Proficient tax technical knowledge across complex 1040 and pass-through tax returns.
  • Comprehensive understanding of reporting forms and desired tax return output.
  • High technical competency with a pragmatic approach to materiality and quality.
  • Effective communication skills to guide, motivate, and instruct staff without patronizing.
  • Professional and concise communication with clients, avoiding technical jargon.
  • Grace, humility, and a collaborative spirit in interactions.
