Project Manager

Work Hours: Standard in-person office hours with reasonably flexibility on start and end time. Full time, W-2 position.

Location:  Runnemede, NJ

Compensation: $75,000-90,000 competitive pay with a variety of benefits

Job Summary:
The Project Manager is a critical role designed to bolster the operational and strategic capabilities of the Vice President of Operations. This role demands a dynamic, detail-oriented, and organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing project execution, enhancing operational efficiency, and maintaining superior client relationships, all while supporting the broader strategic objectives of Summit Drilling.

 

Project Manager Role Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

• Develop detailed project plans aligned with company goals.
• Coordinate resources efficiently for project tasks.
• Track project performance and manage changes effectively.
• Maintain client and stakeholder relationships.

Client Relationship Management:

• Act as primary client contact for project matters.
• Ensure timely delivery of solutions per client needs.
• Communicate progress clearly to stakeholders.
• Resolve issues promptly to enhance reputation.

Risk Management:

• Minimize project risks through effective management.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Monitor resource availability and allocation.
• Manage changes in scope, schedule, and costs.

Operational Support:

• Define project scope and objectives with stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans to monitor progress.
• Use verification techniques for managing changes.
• Report progress and escalate issues to management.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and third-party vendors.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Delegate project tasks based on team strengths.

Communication:

• Ensure timely delivery of solutions as per customer needs.
• Communicate project progress to stakeholders.
• Maintain strong customer relationships.
• Forecast and track key account metrics.

Leadership and Team Collaboration:

• Lead project team, allocate resources, and schedule timelines.
• Track project performance against goals and adjust as needed.
• Develop comprehensive project plans for clients and staff.
• Continuously develop leadership skills.

Compliance and Safety:

• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reports.
• Conduct quality assurance tests to meet standards.

Financial Management:

• Monitor project financials, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Optimize project efficiency and profitability.
• Manage project procurement and resource allocation.
• Ensure accurate billing and invoicing.

Innovation and Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for business process improvements.
• Implement project management best practices and tools.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies.

 

Project Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience

• 3-5 years in environmental drilling, construction management, or a related field as an Assistant Project Manager. 

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project, etc.) is a strong advantage.

• Excellent client-facing, internal, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Outstanding leadership, organizational, time management, and negotiation skills.

• Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.

• Strong working knowledge of project management tools, methodologies, and best practices.

Project Manager Preferences:

• PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
