Location: Remote (Racine, WI-based candidates preferred)
Compensation: $120,000 - $135,000 base salary | OTE: $175,000 - $200,000
Travel: Up to 30%

About the Role:
As a Technical Business Development Manager, you will identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in industrial automation and process control environments. Your deep technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and automation systems will be vital in helping clients understand how TriCore’s solutions drive operational excellence. You’ll work closely with the Director of Sales, Solutions Architects, and Engineering teams to ensure client needs are met from pre-sale through project execution.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and execute a territory-specific sales strategy to grow TriCore’s presence in North Central and Northeast U.S. markets.
- Identify and qualify new business leads in industrial and process environments through networking, referrals, and industry outreach.
- Partner with technical teams to develop accurate scopes of work, quotes, and proposals.
- Present and pitch automation solutions that align with client operational challenges.
- Maintain deep knowledge of TriCore capabilities and communicate value propositions effectively.
- Support project transitions to ensure smooth hand-offs to engineering and execution teams.
- Monitor project progress and maintain client satisfaction throughout the lifecycle.
- Represent TriCore at tradeshows, industry events, and onsite client meetings.
- Regularly report on sales pipeline, forecasts, and market feedback.
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience in technical business development or industrial sales
- Proven background working with manufacturing, automation, or process control solutions
- Strong technical understanding of industrial environments and systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
- Proficiency in CRM and project management tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio)
- Demonstrated ability to build lasting customer relationships and close complex deals
- “Hunter” mentality with a proactive approach to identifying and developing new accounts
- Willingness to travel up to 30%
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
