Entry-Level Project Manager Job Summary:

The role of the Entry-Level Project Manager is to provide prompt and accurate completion of tasks in support of the Project Management community to improve the overall efficiency of project and direct labor resource utilization across the enterprise. The Entry-Level Project Manager will need to work proactively and collaboratively with all members of Operations on specific short and long-term tasks supporting various project and people processes. Primary tasks include project schedule documentation and maintenance, resource scheduling coordination, project status maintenance, and various other project and personnel support activities. The Entry-Level Project Manager will oversee tasks delegated by regional managing partners and project managers, coordinate with all necessary stakeholders, and generally ensure that project requirements and resource needs are being fulfilled.

 

Entry-Level Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with regional managing partners, project managers, and project teams to maximize productivity and streamline project and personnel processes
  • Collaborate with project teams contributing to meeting requirements through the entire project lifecycle
  • Serve as assistant for and liaison for corporate support activities of regional managing partners and regional project managers
  • Document and maintain project and personnel schedules in support of project deadlines and project requirements
  • Coordinate efforts within the project teams and with other TriCore departments for efficient completion of project requirements
  • Regularly report updates verbally and in written form to program and project managers
  • Coordinate project and resource schedules to ensure resources are used efficiently
  • Help discern project requirements and assist in resourcing all projects across the enterprise
  • Complete required administrative tasks such as meeting notes, emails, data entry, invoice support, project template instantiation, forecast support, travel system entries, etc.
  • Demonstrate commitment to clients' needs and confidentiality continuously
  • Coordinate project logistics as required with other departments
  • Identify and help resolve scheduling and resource conflicts
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Entry-Level Project Manager Required Qualifications:

  • Degree/Training in Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management required
  • 0-3 years experience
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for problem solving
  • Able to proactively address potential issues
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft Project Software a plus
  • Collaborative working style and team-player attitude
  • Positive and encouraging personality
  • Able to manage, process, and prioritize multiple requests
