Production Manager (Auto Repair / Collision Auto Body)

Location: Dallas Location - 2025 Midway Road, Suite E, Carrollton, TX 75006

Work Hours: 8 AM to 5:30 PM Monday - Friday. Opportunity to work 4 days a week in the future!

Compensation: $80,000 to $120,000+ annually based on experience and meeting production goals

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all daily operations, ensuring optimal productivity, and efficiency and meeting quality control
  • Coordinate and prioritize workflow to meet service timelines and customer expectations
  • Manage and supervise a team of skilled technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback
  • Sign-off on jobs before the vehicle goes to the next tech, continuing to develop and enforce streamlined operating procedures for quality
  • Collaborate with the Estimators/Service Advisors to schedule appointments, prioritize work orders, and provide accurate repair estimates
  • Maintain inventory levels of parts and materials, ensuring timely availability for repairs
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints, providing prompt and effective resolutions
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols and promote a culture of safety among staff members
  • Stay updated on automotive industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement
  • Prepare and manage repair budgets, controlling costs while maximizing efficiency
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing for parts and materials
  • Participate in recruiting, hiring, and training new technicians to expand the team's capabilities
  • Foster a positive and motivating work environment, promoting teamwork and employee growth
  • Complete I-Car training as needed
  • Manage repair plans according to OEM specifications and company standards, including I-CAR and more
  • Attend/collaborate with the team during daily production meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1+ years of proven experience in automotive repair and service management, holding some form of supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on empowering and motivating employees
  • Proficiency in automotive diagnostic tools and repair software (Nexsyis is a plus)
  • Must be very comfortable with computers, including Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Solid knowledge of automotive repair processes, industry regulations, and safety practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, from customer-facing to internal team communication
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • I-CAR or ASE Certifications are a bonus
  • Can lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Honesty and professionalism. A can-do attitude and drive.
